Take the panel that is the roof of the driver's footwell off, get your head down there. There is a little white button that touches the metal arm that the brake pedal is attatched to. I cannot remember if pushing this button or lifting the arm off it causes the brake light to come on. So you'll have to check for youself. I'm pretty sure the light comes on when the arm isn't touching the button, because the way I fixed my problem, and it sounds like the exact same one you're having, is by gluing a really thin foam piece about the size of a dime on the end of the button to make it contact the pedal arm again to make the brake lights come off when the pedal isn't depressed. I fucked mine up when I was drilling holes for my AWE pedals and pulled the pedal too far forward. You'll have to mess around with it.

I don't even know if your problem is the same as mine. If you can pull your pedal up to where it normally rests, and the brake lights come off, then try my solution. If not, I don't know, but I'm sorry for not helping you.
