Gentlemen,

I installed a new battery in my remote last night and it won't work...at all. I can use my key to start the car and unlock/lock it, of course, but do I need to reprogram my remote?

If so, how do I do that with only 1 remote?

How did you solve the problem? Same thing is happening to me w/ a 99' A6. Getting Frustrated and everything is closed for the weekend.Hope Its somthing simple!

I dont need to program My Key I dont think. I want to know what the problem is or what his problem was and if he got it taken care of. I have the Original Key that came with my car it Worked Just fine I took out the batteries now it wont work. Did I break the computer chip or is maybe just old and dont work. Or do I have to have it reprogrammed. Thanks For the great response. I did use the search and you cant type full questions from my knowledge. I typed Key Remote thats how I stumbled across this post in the first place. If someone could help me out Id appreciate it. Thanks Jack
