I was driving earlier today, and I decided to drive in tiptronic for a little while. After a few minutes, I had forgotten that I had slid it back into the original drive position. After a stop, I started accelerating and (thinking I was still in tip.) tried to shift up, and I slid the car into neutral. With cars behind me, I slowed down (I think the tachometer was around 2500 rpm) and shifted the car back itno drive. Then, after I came to a stop, I thought I had slid it back into tip and I did the same thing again. I wasn't accelerating fast any of the times. I was just wondering if this means any problem for my transmission or for anything.

 

nah youre fine. as weak as the auto trannies are, youre fine. if you revved to 7k in neutral then slammed it into drive at full throttle a few times then that might be some trouble, but you didnt do that.

dude do u have buttons on ur wheel????? if so use those, there way better and u can never have this problem again.

 

Thats why God made automatics...for people like you who cant shift. J/K Im sure your fine, as long as the tranny is in good conditions and you maintain it well.
