Well, with the oil pan gasket as well, and the flex pipe, thats gonna up it some.
I would say, if he likes you, for all that, around 3-400 is fair.
For the t-belt alone, its a good 4 hrs, plus the other stuff. So anywhere between 3-4 hun is fair, if he does you better than that, consider him a friend!

I could do it in four hours or so now, now that I have done it once.
It took me much longer than that the first time, but anyone thats done it to an audi once could do it in 4. I'm assuming that this guy knows what he is doing.

ah ok, fair enough. I was pretty much counting on mine taking an entire weekend, but that's encouraging. shouldn't take me and a friend who's an experienced mechanic much longer than 8 hours right?
I'm going to be doing mine soon too. I'm expecting it to consume the whole weekend. I'm going to replace the serpentine belt and the t-belt.
Anything else I should do while I'm in there? Water pump? If it ain't broke, don't fix it? 2002 A4 w/ right at 80k.

water pump for sure.. i would get all the small things around there replaced for peice of mind down the road and you dont want to have anything that you could have replaced fail and then be pissed you didnt do.. idk that what im doing at least cam seals and oil pump... its better safe than sorry.. we all know how that goes...
3-4 hundred would be amazing i hope its that cheap for all that stuff.. but im thinkin its probably going to be more.. hopefully be surprised in a good way..
