a test pipe is a mod and more noise will be heard so it might just be that ( tapping/pinking is hard to describe ) pinking only happens when the engine is under load so the problem could be fuel/air mix because the cat isn't there which is normal but better to use higher octane and see if it goes away and fit a K&N filter to equal it out

dude, it's called Pinging, not "Pinking". but that is not his problem i can assure you.. might be that the cat was acting as a sound deadener for the turbo. now that that is gone you are just hearing more of what goes on. maybe the turbo is a bit on it's way out. not sure though without actually hearing the noise

Im pretty sure its not the turbo since the turbo is brand new, the CEL just came on so I will get the code ran, my guess is its the 02 sensor since i just got a test pipe on.

Im runing an ATP test pipe on stock exhaust the sound you are hering is most likely an exhaust leak. Ijust went through the same thingI replacedtheexhaust clamps between the DP and mid pipe and mid pipe and resonater, there is no longer the ticking exhaust leak noise.

Yeah, I have a ticking noise under load that sounds like an exhaust leak to me. I also messed up the exhaust clamp after the downpipe (actually, it was my brother with a grinder). Didn't have much of a choice though...the testpipe install was a biatch.
