Default mount advice

i think i either need my motor,or transmission mounts changed.I have a 2.8 manual, when i change gears i get a good deal of kickback, clunking, also when im crusing along at say 60mph if i let my foot off the gas for a second and then reapply it,i get the same clunk/thud?ive changed my snub mount about 3000k ago.
What do you guys think any advice?any good place to pick up the mounts?

The engine mounts are easy to spot as bad, there should be red fluid leaking from them, and usually leaves a stain on the belly pan. I would say its your tranny mounts.

I don't think there is any difference at all, the stock engine/tranny mounts are designed to hold power well over stock, so upgrading to any RS4 mounts is really a waste of money.

went to change my mounts today, when i got in there i discovered i must have got the wrong ones, i ordered the mounts from www.purems.com and specifically got the ones that said for a manuel transmission 2.8 Quattro. My problem now is the mount on the car is the big type one wth the bolt that doesn't go the whole way thru. One pure motor sport, the one on my car looks the same as the one theysay is for an auto.
Any advice would be appreciate, if I got the correct bolt, couldI use the ones I bought?

yea been looking this up all evening, from what i can make out it seems that the mounts currently on my car are for an automatic and the ones i ordered from purems are the correct ones, for standard trans.
going to the local dealers parts dept. tomorrow and im going to check with them if i right,if i am all i'll have to do is pick up the longer bolt hopefully.
