I have a 1998 Audi a4 quattro wagon and it has a regular cd changer but the cartridge is gone [&:]
SO i wanna buy an mp3 changer but im not sure it will be supported by the stock player in the car and i don't wanna replace it because it will give a completely different look to the car which i like. Can any1 tell me if it can or can't?

 

then get a mp3 player like ipod to hook up to your car that way keeping the stock head unit but having all the songs you want

 

yeah but i want a changer because most of my music is on cds more then a 80gig ipod can hold.

 

if you've got enough music on CD's that you can't fit it on an 80! gig ipid, then a 6 disc changer is not going to be practical for you. it'll probably be cheaper, and look better in the long run, to just buy an ipod, and an ipod adapter, and do as sp33d07 suggested.

 

well if i have a changer currently i might as well make it useful and replace it. so can any1 tell me if there is a difference, or if i can use an rf modulator to make it work.

im not sure about phat noise it is beeing discontinued, and it is expensive the reason it was discontinued was because of i pod, and bro if you have over 80 gigs of music buy another ipod youll still save money and be up with the technology almost everything comes ipod ready
