^haha

as far as mpgs go, 1.8T FTMFW!

my car, which has had no engine work done to it (all show no go!)...not even a chip, gets about 400 miles per tank, and when I granny shift I have seen around 450 miles per tank....

1.8T aeb motor w a 5spd runs 25mpg with ease and can do 30 with drivers love/care...

when I am roadtrippin at 80-100mph my mpg greatly decrease and I have seen as little as a 280ish miles to tank

BAD MAF may not report any error or "check engine" light, i wrote about that in "this sucking maf" thread. my milage after changing MAF improved, but is 18-19 in a city. as far as this is far from what i heard here (25-30 mpg), i think i should change my o2 sensors as well and as far there are no DTC in the ECU, i can assume, that bad O2 sensors may not report errors as well.

this audi surprises me more and more, there is so much undiscovered

Oooo if you do have bad front O2 sensors...............I would rather beat my teeth in with a sledge hammer then change those on a 3.0L. Those suck. [:'(]

Wow, thats sounds promising!

i thought 3.0's only get bout 25mpg anyway... with winter, fuel blends and what not, 20mpg sounds right.. fresh air filter/fuel filter doesnt hurt....

My 1.8T gets 30-32MPG on the highway with a 1+ chip... i killed a 3.0 on the interstate last week... if i drive it hard, it will get 26-28 on the highway...

Damn. I have 1+ as well, and get 25 on the highway - driving it like a grandma. I get about 16 straight city/stop and go/short trip driving.

Of course, my computer readout is about 3mpg higher than actual, so it shows 28 highway, and 20 city. Maybe that's the difference? Is your MPG above calculated (miles driven since last fillup divided by gallons filled at the pump), or are you listing the computer readout?

I got new magnaflow mufflers, so is not that. I guess ill get new O2 sensors see if it does the trick. I got 95,500 miles on it so prolly need to change my O2 sensors anyway. Im getting 15 mpg i did it on paper did not go by what the comp says. the VGA code showing is p0431.

How accurate is the instant MPG guage? It will show 44+ mpg while at 2400 rpm doing 60 mph, and actually more than that at higher speeds in 6th gear. I can't possibly believe that I'm legitimately getting 44+ mpg.

Anyone?
