muffler....
I just can't find a muffler that is a good brand name to fit my model. My car is a a4 quattro v6 2.8. 1997. I want to also find other performace parts like a lightened flywheel, clutch, lightened pistons, headers, achip, and what ever else is available. Thanks

RE: muffler....
You have the 12v V6, which means the following:
1) It's slow and will never be quick unless you have a bank account the size of a Saudi prince
2) A muffler will only give you sound, no performance gain
3) Headers won't do much and aren't worth the money at all
4) Check the sponsors for a LWFW and clutch kits
5) Don't bother with pistons
6) There's no chip available for the 12v V6 - PERIOD
If you want to go fast sell your car and get a 1.8t. The only engine mods I've done are an intake and custom exhaust. Did I gain HP? Dunno, never dynoed the thing. Do I feel a difference? Sure, it's a bit more fun to drive and has a little more top end, but that's it.It's enjoyable to drive but I'm not into racing people or 1/4th mile stuff...

RE: muffler....
Well said wood_e. Yeah man if you want a fast car you're in the wrong boat. If you want exhaust look up a "Vibrant axle back" wood_e has 1 and mines in the mail. "LLtek" also makes 1 for your car and i think it runs about $450 while the vibrant is about $270 or so. So those are your 2 options Vibrant or LLtek. There are acouple of clutches you can get. I just put a Spec Stage1 inwith the stock flywheeland I love it.Custom intake, custom exhaust, and clutch/flywheel are the onlyengine mods in a decent price range and are actually worth the money. Once you got those done you pretty much have to do all cosmetic mods.Welcome to the 12v club, where speed is...well...a fantasy.
