ok so today i went to home depot and just picked up a 8$ roll of aluminum to make a heat shield. didnt really go into it with a plan just kinda started cutting. i know it might not be the best design but it has to be better than the stock one. oh yeah and i added a little message on there from the heat shield to the turbo......

naw im pretty happy with it now.... anythings better than stock

 

you'll want to use some sort of insulation as well as the aluminum, aluminum by itself is not a great heat insulator. once the turbo soaks that thin sheet of aluminum, it might as well not be there.

I want to get some of that material that NASA uses on the space shuttle hull and use that as a head shield!
