yah I seen that diy b4... but he doesn't specifically say how it sits at the bottom.... maybe it sits where the stock heatshield sits?

does anyone know what the "screwdrivers" name is for the star looking bolts... and by any chance does any one know what sizes I would need
(im putting in an intake and im removing the airbox and stock heat shield)

will homedepot or lowes have them?

You can get hex bits in a little kit for a few bucks from Walmart, Home Depot, Menards.................... Dont know the size but a small 5-10 peice kit should do you just fine. (metric)

you realize that regardless of the temp the filter sucks in, its still going to be X temp through the turbo due to turbo heat and being compressed and then cooled to X temp due to the intercooler right?

Random thought.... I wonder if I put a piece of foil in the oven between the burner and my chicken nuggets if they will get less cooked? I doubt it.

no, butit will take far longer if you inclose it in the foil like he has done here. [8D]

Still not worth my $8, time, orunderhood appearence

the shield just sits on the frame of the car, once you get the stock air box out you'll see where it will sit. It's obviously not a seal, but the sheild definitely helps with the temp of the air on the filter side.

This was for my 2.8 so don't have the turbo/ic to worry about
