ok so as the title says my buddy has a 2000 TT 180qm and i have an 01 1.8t qm sport.
Now the first time we raced was on a highway on a nice cool night -5. Now he had an extra passanger (5 2' chick weighly like 100 Pounds) and i have a system in my trunk with 2 12' 2 amps huge bog. Reguadless of what speed or rpm we were at(we launched between 60-100km) everytime we raced i would instantly start pulling on him and once we changed gears i would jump further ahead. Now at this time he had a k&n drop in and forge DV,i had an intake, Balies Dv and borla but his car comes stock with 10 more horse power, and come on its a tiny TT vs my sedan.
We raced again about 6 months later when we both got Apr 94 programs and i was still faster then him.
Sooooooo why is it that my car is actually fast then his TT, beucase i find this kind of hard to believe that my car with 10 less hp stock can be faster then his little 2 door sports car? Thanks for the imput

It may well be that you're a better driver too. He may not understand how to shift his car to get maximum acceleration. Maybe his floormat is shoved up under the gas pedal and he can't floor it all the way. Could be a lot of things.
