my friend has a 2000 golf gti vr6. they have about 174 hp and 181 lbft of torque. do yall think i could whoop his a$$ or lose. i havent really raced him though. so i kinda wanna see what the challenge would be first so i could know if i should put $ down or not. i think i have a great chance of beating him. i shift alot quicker and smoother than him.

Well unless he is a bad driver, I would assume you would loose being that his car is lighter.

 

well its not that he is a bad driver but im more experienced and speed shift and can launch it like a beast. but i think it may be close. idk.

im thinkin about getting a few mods to beef up the engine. i was thinkin of the lltek downpipe and/or a chip? how long and what needs to be done to install a chip?
