I have a 2001 Audi a4 quattro with the 1.8t. A couple months ago my key remote for my doors stopped working, I thought the battery in the remote was dead replaced them and still doesn't work. But the problem continued to get worse, the doors will lock and unlock automatically and randomly (sometimes when driving). The back window will also go down when driving too. The battery went dead and I thought that was the problem but I got a new battery and it still has the problems. I was checking the battery ground it is good and I also checked the ground on the motor by the ignition coil , also good. I don't drive the car very much anymore and I think that might be part of the reason its doing this. I don't know what to do know. I am not sure if I should continue to check grounds. I don't even know where anymore grounds are. Did anybody else have this problem? can someone please help me?

 

You might have a short somewhere in the dash, id have someone look into it.
