Hi ,

I got a 97 A4 2.8, I started my car at my friends house to warm it up, "15 degrees outside" and I went inside, I came out 10 min later and the car was off, I then started the engine only for it to shut down again. Started it one more time and it shut down again. Alright this is simple, the car wont idle, so I had to get it home to I blew through every stopsign and made it home, I couldnt hold the clutch in because the car would stall. The car runs fine when over idle but will stall out everytime i try to Idle the car. ..... Im Puzzled

Any ideas before i call the Audi Dealership for an appointment?

 

check the TB(Throttle body) somthing could be wrong there............... or the MAF

 

Will do, Ill check all of that after work tommorow, wont be driving it.

 

Just to let you know the problem was a pin hole in a vacuum hose, or something like that, im not that technical but my dad came out and fixed it while i was at work. Hey its working and its great, Idles much better now than it ever did and it semes to have more power maybe its just the day. I donno...

 

if you plugged up a vacuum hose than you will definately have more power.
