So, I was on my way to work last friday morning. I was trying to cross a road, and aparently didn't see a F150 coming at me (at 60 mph). Needless to say, my car is totaled. I walked away with scrapes on my arms and a concussion. There were a good 10 minutes there that I dont remember (I can vaguely remember the impact, and i also aparently called my boss three times to tell him that I wasn't going to make it into work)

Thats a testment to the safety of the audi.

Think of what shape you'd be in if you were driving a neon or something.

Glad you were not badly hurt.

Cars come and go, but you've only got 1 life. Glad you still have it.

It doesn't matter if it's an Audi or a Neon; look at the mess at passanger side. Luckily there was no one sits in the passanger side when it happened and most importantly, JoeD1346 was OK.

Did your driver-side sidecurtain airbag not deploy? Couldn't tell from the pics...good to see your wheel airbag didn't blow (it shouldn't in those kinds of hits).

Your Audi gave its life to save yours. Big props to German engineering.

 

Man, not a lot of cars on the road would have survived that kind of crash as well. Glad to hear you're ok. I'm really impressed at the drivers space still in tact. Would have been rough for a passenger, though. And a Neon would have launched with an impact like that. Would have had all four wheels leave the ground. Saw a Neon take one from a F-350 on the road in Texas. Nobody survived. Minimal impact on the truck, too. Notice the Audi got one in on the truck in your crash. GO AUDI!
