hmm. ur cruise control is messed up lol. thought i'd let u kno that lol j/k j/k. see if u can get a vag. maybe the module is bad or sm.

 

i looked under the dash and can't find a modual...... i was also told that an 01 doesn't have a modual....it is by vacum, can someone with an 01 a4 1.8t take a pic of their modual?

 

Pfft - at least yours works (sorta). My cruise control has been MIA forover 2 years now.

 

says in the haynes manual it's behind the the airbag unit on the passenger side. that's for mechanically controlled throttle. electronic controlled throttle is only the switch on the blinker. it's controlled by the fuel injection control module. wut engine code do u have?

yup, but that shouldn't matter, didn't work at all with my factory ecu, this is one a second one

 

about six months ago my cruise started getting spotty. i drove 70mi each way interstate, and it would work and then, just cut out. sometimes it would work, others, not. local roads interstate, tried for weeks to get a pattern. a month later, i got the idea to change all my fuses (none blown, just did it). cruise has worked every time since. worth a shot.
