Default Are my driveing habits ok?

When I drive I live in tiptronic mode, and I tend to keep my RPM's in the mid 3500-sometimes just under 4000.......Is this bad for my car? It sounds stupid but please let me know....I just dont want to hurt my car in the long run....ect...thanks....

No, you aren't going to hurt anything driving in the 3500-4000 range. There are quite a few of us here that drive our cars much harder than that.

The lowest RPM is the best. Keep it as low as you can without making the car rumble or stall for best gas mileage.

Well yeah, you're not driving a V8. The engine sound is going to be more like a lawn mower than a muscle car.

Personally I find that dropping my car into low gears very enjoyable. Turbo whine is as much pleasure as any V8

Yeah, I keep it revving as low as possible... this is usually around 1900 rpm, 1500 is fine sometimes, but dont go up any sort of incline under 2K. Basically like jest said, you dont want your car to shudder because its lugging.

But yeah, holding the car at 3500 - 4000 rpm is no big deal, especially if your only doing it tip mode, when your out enjoying the car.

Course, on the highway, a 5 spd will rev 3000 - 4000 rpm depending on your cruising speed, more proof that it wont hurt your car.
