Are my driveing habits ok?
wow, talking about reviving a random *** thread.
i dont care where i live, i will always drive manual. auto's suck and shifting when you want how you want makes you more connected to the car. it also keeps you more concentrated on the road and prevents you from doing other stupid **** when driving. manual is ALWAYS better than auto. period
i used to drive a 92 mustang gt 5.0 and had to drive it to and from miami every day in HEAVY traffic. ever tried pushing in the clutch on a 5.0? not to fun in traffic. but still i would rather do that than drive an auto.
and ya amze you need to let the turbo warm up and cool down or you will seriously decrease its life. you should wait a couple minutes before you start driving aggressively and should wait at least 2 min before turning your car off after driving aggressively. either that or get a turbo timer

Ok, but if I drove a little aggressive while on then road, 3 minuets from beginning my drive... then I drive normally say a steady 60MPH all the way to my house for 4-5 minuets... can I pull into my garage and park her since I hadn't driven aggressivly recently? Thanks for the tips man, im still learning at heart. Ima start being more aware of that, I want the best for my car as everyone does
i would still give it a minute before you shut it off to allow the oil to circulate and cool it down a bit. its only a minute, just kick back, relax, let that last song ride and hop out when it's over. if your hard-pressed for time shutting it off immeadiately every once in a while ain't gona do much harm. you can always get a turbo timer which lets the engine run a bit after you've taken the key out. they're not that expensive either. personally i dont have a problem waiting that extra minute
nothing like just shutting off a glowing red turbo, i hear pouring ice water over it helps alot............... CRACK!
depending on the day, i'm from 2k thru about 5k. just make sure you let her warm up and cool down before you start playing around.
and as much as a nice throaty rumble coming out of the exhaust is nice, that K04 winding up when i hit the gas makes me smile every time!
