If you look in the thread at audizine, some guy says the following

"wait your k&n is above your wheel well , facing the passenger seat?, myy advice would to not do that,

1. k&n filters are crap and can even damage your car, the stock air box is better, plus i see no way that the filter can get more air positioned like that, if your going to make it cutom, why not put it in the front of the car? like in an opening in the front bumper where you know air will be forced into it, also the MAF is idk "calibrated" for lack of a better word (mind went blank) to the stock specs so if you change the tubing nd allt hat cray stuff you did man then you should undoubtedly have some work and programing to do with the MAF

in other words, you shouldn't have done that to your car if you visit www.audiworld.com you will know that those filters suck and can cause loss of power and that the stock air box is really the way to go for a 2.8, you should change it befor you cause some real damage"

I want to know what others think about my intake, is this guy right?^^^

thats what im worried about, do i really need to reprogram my MAF just because of the 50 degree bend in the tube?

that would explain the popping noise you're hearing, it's running lean because youre getting more air but the MAF isn't compensating with more fuel. K&Ns are fine, the only time they will do damage is if you reoil them improperly. just follow the directions and don't be impatient with the process, and you'll be fine.

Yeah get a tune or a programer. What did you use liquid nails for thet thing? Why didn't you just but the right one and make it look good? What kind of car is that? Looks like you just kind of threw it in there to me.
