my friend flipped his A4!!
well what i wanna do is buy it back from his insureance company and use it for parts (i could use a good bit of them) so if i end up getting it ill take some pics and post them but as of now i dont have any. as for how it happened he said he was going 65-70 around a S turn and the back wheels broke loose. they rolled once and came about 5' from hitting a tree. our other friend was riding with him and not wearing a seat belt (very dumb!) but luckily they are both alright
I'm glad your friend is OK. It's pretty spooky when you're in a bad wreck. Sometimes it takes a while to sink in.
I know a kid who flipped his A4 on the Interstate a few years ago. I'm vague on thedetails, but I don't think alcohol, speed, or weather contributed. I think he overcorrected for something & landed upside down. He wasn't injured. I think they're incredibly stable cars, but they're not flip proof.
My teenage daughter & twofriends were turningrightwhen her '99 A4 was rear ended by a fuel truck traveling like a bat out of Hell, which totaled the Audi.TheAudiwas pushed into a ditch about 30 feet down the road. They were hit with such force that diesel fuel from the truck spilled inside the Audi. The rear window shattered &covered the back seat and its passenger with glass; glass also landed in the front seats. The back of the car crumpled. The girls all had seat belts on and were completely unhurt. No cuts, whiplash, or even stiff muscles. Thatnoble little carreally protected them, and I believe it savedtheir lives.
Three years later the insurance companies are still snarling at each other. Win or lose, I'm glad my companyis still fightingfor my daughter. I'll probably always drive Audi's.
