Hey guys,

I just picked up a new 2006 A4 Quattro Automatic. I could not be happier, it's just incredible. I have only one concern, and was hoping to get some advice.

When stopped and idling in Drive,

1) The car vibrates... alot. It almost feels like a massage chair.
2) The humming of the engine is irregular (the higher humming sound, not the lower diesel-like growl). Imagine someone humming a note, who every second or so goes up to the next higher note for a quarter-second.

I can only notice these things when idling in drive/reverse. If the car is in park, neutral, or is moving, its like floating in deep space.

Your car comes with full warranty, I'd suggest you run back to your dealership and have them inspected... I got mine 2006 A4 Manual, the second day, I consistantly hear a vibe under my dashboard, they have two machanics test drive it and found a losed bolt, it doesnt affect the perforance but annoys you. So have them check it up, after all thats your previlage for getting a New AUDI...

 

new car = warranty = take it back, don't mess with it because it could effect the warranty
