What is this hose is this and what is it supposed to be attached to? I have a 2000 A4 1.8T quattro.

you all are gonna force me to go to a mechanic, i cant get the car running smoothly, rpms still jump all over the place.

 

That is not an OEM connector or hose location. Looks like someone had connected something aftermarket there, so I assume that you are not the first owner. Plug it and see if your car runs better

 

ya im the second owner first owner did some mods but they were poorly done so im slowly goin through and redoing everything kind of a pain.
