damm.. ma car from the accident, it became salvaged. the insurance company called in and said my car is a wreck or totaled so they are not gonna fix it. i was like WTF! it didnt even looked that bad to be a totaled car but they said parts for 96 audis are hard to find and it will cost alot. heres da thing.. the bodyshop has told me that i had to bargain the price of the car wit them. i dont know how exactly wut to do to get as much money out from them. Ilooked at the KBB and private value was 7200 . Do they go by trade-in values or private? and wut would be the best way to get the most money from them to get my cars worth or more. and if anyone is selling their audis whose form california in the ares of 213,323,818 or anywhere close please reply bak. tahnks alot for your help guys!

 

Depends on your policy. You should get retail value for the car.

 

Ahhh yes I went through the same thing. they wanted to give me 1500 less than kbb. Progressive I know does not go by edmunds, kbb, or any of those. They have their own "fair market value" which is much lower than that. It's more around trade in value. Progressive woulnt bargain with me, and flat out told me that's the price, like it or go to court. Insurance companies are scammers.
