Default Need some advice....

Soo I finally joined the ranks of S4 owner today. and I was surprised how long the gear throws are. can you guys suggest your favorite SHort throw shifter kit as well as a website to buy it......maybe plus and minus of the kit.

I was leaning towards the UUC because of the shift **** but I cant find a site that sell one for the S4 so I dont know price and particulars, so if you guys could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful.

Btw thanks everyone who help me with my search and advice and such....it was a frustrating time......but look like its ALLL GRAVY NOW!

I would stay clear of the UUC. I've heard that they are not really engineered well for Audi, (and the build quality of the ones made for Audi is not up to the level of their BMW SS's for instance), and lots of people are unhappy with them and remove them (mostly heresay I admit...but that is what I have heard...)... I have the B&M and for the most part I think its great (still sometimes have trouble finding a gear...though rare...and much much better then it used to be before). My mechanic who has done UUC and other SS instals on S4s says my B & M is the only one he has done - but he thinks its the best one he has come accross - both in build quality and function. BTW - depending on the year of your car (pre-2001.5 versus 2001.5 and after) - this may dictate which SS you go with. My car is aparently a pre-2001.5 (though I have the ESP)...and - for instance - AWE strongly recommends the B & M for the earlier S4s...

I have a UUC and im not very happy with it. Going to go with a B&M next year and just deal with it for now. only have less than 2 weeks before it comes off the road til spring... so i say dont go with the UUC. if you want to wait, ill sell you mine in march though
