Default need help

alright...i really wanna get rid of the black plastic trim on the bottom of my car...paint the lowers silver
so i went to different body shops and they said...dont do it, it will chip off easily...another said $300 and another said over $1,000
i went to the dealership and they did not recomend it at all.....so what do i do now...get a body kit?? but i really dont like some kits that make the car slammed on teh ground...the rs4 body kit is pretty cool...
can you get just a regular s4 body kit (like the year 2000) cause then that would solve my problems real easy
any suggestions and where to get them would be great
thanks a lot

and what do you guys think of a little trunk lip spoiler like what the s4 has???

They have to use special primer and smooth out the plastic. The higher the quote, the more it sounds like they know how involved it is. Shop[ around and ask exactly how they will go about doing it. Then post here Once done, it totally changes the look of the car. Good Luck! I am glad mine were painted lowers from the factory.

A lot of folks have done it , form DIY's up to pro paint shops.

I haven't heard of anyone having major problems with chipping paint.

You need to use plastic primer to make sure the paint sticks well.

But there is always a chance of chips because of the location. Keep a bottle of touch up paint handy.
