First mod should be WHEELS! forget everything else for now and get new wheels.
Wheels are all fine and dandy, but he just got the car and it looks like it could use a good, thoroughcleaning; especially the engine (free). Before you go blowing your money on rims, get under the hood and give it a good sprucing up. Once it's clean, it could possibly reveal any unseen leaks or problems that were previously covered up by said dirt. He could then focus that money on get it properly repaired (should something be found)so that it doesn't cause any further problems down the road. What good is a car with nice rims if it's just sitting in the driveway? Take care of the mechanical problems, especially the engine, first! It's the heart of the vehicle.

Filler plates for the bumper:either free from a buddy that has an extra set,$25 bucks from the dealer, or a cheap set from a fellow AF'r via theclassifieds. Again, focus on the small cosmetic things. It really is the little things that set cars, and their owners, apart. If i see a guy rolling around town with a piece missing and he doesn't replace it, i assume that he's just anAudi owner thatdoesn't care about his ride and is just driving it because it's an Audi. Take time out and take care of the car that will take care of you.

Now, moving on. If and when you do decide to getrims, you should go with 18s. Most B5'rs on here are running 18s with 225/40/18 tires.

Sorry for my social rant, but ihate to see people burn money on rims or whatever else, and notgive two squirts about spending money on keeping it running properly. When all they're concerned about is it looking good. Again, i'm sure it'll look good.........sitting in your driveway.
