need help asap, looking to buy an audi
hey guys i'm looking to buy a 1999 audi a4, it has 150,000 miles on it,the check engine light is on though, and this bothers me because i don't want 2 buy this car and have to carry it to the repair shop right away, does anyone have guidelines or does anyone know of an audi mechanic in new york, long island, or queens.
thanks in advance!!!!!
thanks in advance!!!!!
make sure timing belt/ water pump has been replaced. i bought a 2001 with 140k on it i've had to do minor repairs until the turbo went up and that was good because it made me go with a k04. i'd say drive it see how it runs, scan the code see if its not major, and ask for service records (i.e waterpump timing belt) and the oil sludge problem

How can I scan the code before I buy it and how can I see if there is the oil sludge problem!!!
