need some advice on wheel size
ok winter is hitting Belgium soon also
so its time to remove the expensive wheels and put on the cheap crap
so i want to sell my BBS wheels and buy me something new
though i am having trouble deciding the size
its going to 18 or 19" but i am not sure about the width and stuff
what do you guys think fits best under a A4 B6 ?

RE: need some advice on wheel size
what is the standard wheel and tire demension for a b6 a4? For winter application, if there is allot of snow...it might be better to go narrower...but I wouldn't go any narrower than the stock configuration.
I'd stay with 17s or 18s....

I'm in the same situation, I'm contemplating 18x8.5s 35+ offset for my B6. Will I have to roll my fenders or worry about rubbing at this size? I should mention I have the Sport Package as well (I'm not sure if that makes a difference).

In my opinion, I think 19s are a perfect size for the B6. However, you have to take a bunch of other factors into consideration. If the roads are bad where you live, I'd go 18 or 17. If they're fine, I'd go 19. Also, if you want a semi-large wheel look, but still want 18s, then make sure you don't buy wheels with rivets. The rivets will make the wheel appear smaller than it actually is. And, I've been riding on 19s for about a week, and I barely notice a difference between my sport 17s and my new 19s. You feel a little bit more of the road, but not too much. I really notice the tad bit of extra firmness most when I'm going in and out of driveways. I have the stock sport suspension. When it comes down to it, it's a personal preference. But you have to take into consideration the other factors I talked about earlier. If you would like a better idea of what 19s on a B6 look like, just PM me and I'll post a pic.

RE: need some advice on wheel size
i too thought 19"s would look perfect, but when i researched actually getting them, 19" rims are few and far between and on tirerack.com they only had 1 tire that would fit them, apparently its a tough size to find so if u have a flat it could make things difficult, so im going with another set of 18"s for convience
