Default need some help.....

i put in the giac chipped ecu the other night, and got some rough idling...which i was told would go away. but, i did the whole disconnecting of the battery thing, and well i dont have my radio code.. so, i checked in the trunk and found a code that i thought would be it, but it wasnt. so that was strike one. well while driving i tried a different code which also failed. then like 10 sec later the car died when i was at a stop light and threw the cel. it then died again after i started it at the next light. would this have anything to do with getting strike two on the radio code. i know it locks it up, but i didnt think it would disable the car. i drove the car last night for abit and it seemed fine except for the idling, but didnt throw any codes. so, just wondering if anyone has input on this..

The radio code shouldn't disable the car. Strike two, will cut the radio off for 1 hour. You will not be able to input another code for 1 hour. But as far as your car cutting off, I would pin that one on the GIAC. There was another thread I saw yesterday, about rough idling, I will try to find it for you.

throttle body adaptation....channel 98 on a vagcom.

try this. that is why my car is idling funny..i.e. surging from 600-1000rpms.

so then i should probably get a vag comm and see what the dilly-o is....or just swap out ecu's again and see if the cel goes away.
