Default Need suggestions!

Im looking to get a 97 Audi A4 2.8 non quattro.

Its a 5 speed and has 98K The water pump and timing belt have been changed and there are currently no problems with.

Could any one tell me major and minor problems these cars have, especially the 97 ones?

Need all the help i can get, Thanks.

quattro is great. will you drive anywhere in the rain or where you might need it? if yes then keep shopping for the quattro.

Since t-belt is done, other common problems at that mileage are worn tie-rod ends (if steering is loose) worn control arms (noise in suspension-squeeking, rubbing sounds) and possibly wheel bearings or cv joints. Just things to look for, if no eveidence of any problems, then its probably ok.
Still would reccomend holding out for quattro, its one of the main things that makes an audi a great car.
How much are they asking for it? Just make sure you dont pay to much, the fwd ones always go for a lot less than the quattro.
