ok so my r/r wheel bearing is gone.. very loud .. im buying new ones online but do i need the kit or just the bearing...whats a good place?? thanks!

 

Whats inclueded in the kit? Most likely youll only need the bearing. Unless your fwd and the kit includes grease and a bearing packer.

 

If quattro, you'll need a press.

check ous sponsors for bearing kit. Might as well get the new bolts. It is only 2 dollars more. Hardly even worth your time to ask the question.

 

yea get the kit. its not a bad job and so worth it not to hear that noise anymore

 

it's really loud...im a lil scared..is it ok to drive like that?? buying the part this week and gonna have a shop do it... i work at a ford dealer and asked the guys to look at it... he gave an estimate for $495....

 

This might be alittle or alot off topic but what ever you do Guys do not take your Beatiful machines to PEPBOYS they do not know how to werk on them....

I had alittle run around with them until i just took my car back and had it done privately.....

Buy the kit from PureMS... I got a quote for 2 hours of labor at $70/hr at a local VW shop here in Ottawa... thats Canadian dollars.
