Need your opinions, A4 or Civic Si?
In my opinion. I'd go with the Audi. Not just because I own one, but because I was once in your position. Everyone told me how many problems I was gonna have with the Audi and how they are expensive to fix. In reality, I have spent far less on this car than I was warned. Many of the parts are the same as VW, so they are more widely available. I do thework by myself, so this may be a problem if you don't know the basics. But at the end of the day, do you really want a Honda civic??? It's just boring and I wouldn't want the same car as my 15 year old neice.
I'd like to elaborate on my previous response. I was in the same situation as Nevercomingback. I had an 02' Altima and I loved it but the longer I had it, the more I realized it's not such a cool car. By 04 EVERYONE had one and it wasn't anything new anymore. What I love about the Audi is that it comes with a bit more prestige and is not as common as a Honda. I always see them around and although yes they are GREAT on gas and they are super reliable, that's all you really get. Open and close the doors, they sound cheap. Have a look at the interior.... basic and not very inpressive IMO. The Audi just feels good and looks good on both the inside and out. You get the "nice car" looks from other people on the road and you feel safer in the car.... Yes I guess you can call me vain, I really don't mind lol, but like one of the guys on this thread said, it only took me one drive to get hooked. If you are looking at an Automatic trannythen the Audi probably won't stand out but in Manual, it will blow you away!!!! Trust me. Honda does not (and never will) have the same torque or performance envelope that the Audis do.
The reliability of an Audi is wrapped around its luxurious engineering, the expenses that we put into our cars is to bring out the hidden beast that is living in it.
I am never looking back into getting other engineered cars, except German cars......... In the near future, I am thinking of getting a "Q".. Is there a trend here?
In advance, congrats in getting and Audi.[8D]

Thanks NeverComingBack and Pablo_Ottawa. I'm going to test drive both tomorrow and I'm thinking the Audi will be it. I think I might just be infatuated with the new design of the Civic Si, as I hated every previous generation. We'll see, but I will definitely post pics of my decision soon. Thanks everyone!
I'm with almost everyone on this board. The audi is in a completely different class as the civic. The si does look alright, but it looks like a cheap 15 thou car. The interior looks OK and feels OK (but when people look at it they think cheap... After riding in an audi). The A4 Is better designed for comfort and luxury. When you ride in the civic you feel the road and every imperfection, when you ride in the a4 it feels like you are riding in the clouds plus theAWD is amazing in this car.
I was actually looking at possibly getting an SI(2 of my friends have one) and when I drove in the audimy mind changed completely (as yours probably will), handling is amazing,it looksnice and more sophisticated, and feels much better. In fact one ofmy buddies that has an SI is thinking about trading it in and getting a1.8tqm a4. From when I've heard, if you take care of the car it will have no problems. And at the mileage you are looking at you probably dont have much to deal with. Go with an extended warranty and do the normal regular maintnance (oil changes etc.) when you are supposed to and you will have no problems and be much happier that you went with an A4.
The Test drive will probably make your mind towards the A4.. The only thing is... If you want to rice your car please go with the Civic, no custom pvc pipe exhaust pipe for you.

Think about it. Every teenager and housewife has a Civic. Get something not everyone has. You can roll up to anyplace and at least know, there's probably not another person in the parking lot with your car.
And besides, more and more girls know what a Civic is and how cheap/slow they are. Tell them you have an Audi and see what reactions you get.

why dont you get a 3.0 audi and be just as quick as the civic SI.
but if you wanna mod the audi, get the 1.8
and civics drive like tin cans, lol... this is an easy one bro, i promise.
