I have bought fromthepartsbin.com before and never had a problem but they really screwed me this time. A friend of mine is putting a new engine in my a4 1.8t and I needed some gaskets and seals so I bought from thepartsbin.com. I paid for overnight shipping because my buddy only had today and tomorrow to work on my car, so anyway this thepartsbin.com shipped half my order ground shipping and it wont be here til next week. I called to complain and they said their terms and conditions states they can do this and im sol so I asked for a supervisor and they said " he will tell u the same thing" and refused to get anyone else on the phone. They were rude as hell and really messed me up, I would not recommend getting anything from them!

If you paid for overnight shipping, how can they be allowed to ship ground. That doesn't make sense?!

 

Thats what I thought. They told me that some oem parts will only ship ground and it states this in their user agreement but it didnt say anything about this when I checked out. It's complete horse sh*t! They also said they wont do a partial refund for overnightshipping since the website automaticaly figures what items will ship overnight and whatwill ship ground (even thought it doesnt say that anywhere) so they claim they didnt overcharge me for shipping. If you go to their site and lookup a real main seal for a 98 passat1.8t it says overnight shipping available but they claim thatthe seal is never available forovernight shipping. I have never got this much bs from any company.

DONT BUY FROM THEPARTSBIN.COM!!!! - From now on I will always buy from a sponser of the forums.

 

They sent me an A6 oil filter instead of an A4 filter too. This place is worthless!

 

that place truely sucks...took them like 2 months to send me a damn muffler I paid $120 for.

 

I get my stuff from egermanparts.com. They are very quick to correct problems, but you have to call them. They are slow with the emails.

 

Wow.. Make it a personal mission to sign up on every car enthusiest website and explain your problems. That is total BS. See if they are with the BBB and make a complaint too.

 

If you paid with a credit card your credit card company should stand behind you to dispute the charges. It's worth a shot. Good luck, thanks for the heads up on the shady store.

 

Thanks for the head's up! I never considered buying from them just because of their name. (I know silly but true in the marketing field)

 

They sent me the wrong brake pads a couple years ago - I haven;t ordered from them since. Never again - they suck.
