new a4 b6 owner looking for HID's
well i would send you to www.oemhid.com but it seems that their page is down.
yea, i have been thinking about HID's for a while now... has anyone installed them themselves?
if so was it difficult or would you recommend getting them installed somewhere?

if you are looking into factory HID you will be looking at about 400 per headlight. I tried to buy a new headlight because my autoleveling headlight on my driverside went out. my car came with HIDs but I am going to replace them with an aftermarket bulb, if you are gonna go aftermarket go with XTRONIC HIDs they are completely weather proof. I have already installed a pair into my fog lights.
Just to let you know those ecodes do NOT come with all the "HID stuff" installed, well the b5 ones don't. Its just a housing with a better quality projector. If you want HID/xenons your gonna have to get the bulbs, ballasts and wiring, either way its not difficult to install just expensive. For the b6, you already have xenons, so to upgrade you could just get the HID kit or buy higher output bulbs. HID kits
