Default New A4 Fuel mileage

I am looking at a new 2008 A4 Quattro 2.0t stick and was wondering what to expect for mileage.

If your actually expecting to get 23 MPG then you must be crazy, I hate those company's that post on their website what MPG your suppose to get. They test the car with the A/C off, which some of us don't use anyways. They test em with the Radio off, which I think everyone uses. They also test em with the windows up. Not to mention they barely even touch the gas pedal, just enough to cause the RPM's to flinch. Also shift points are a major factor.

Actually, that figure is not exagerated. Ask anyone here with a B7 2.0T. 23mpg is a combined average. If what you say were true, they'd be averaging 30+ mpg.

Actually when they post the MPG in some states they post it under the average i have heard...
I usually get about 325 to 400 miles in a tank so you do the math.

I do drive a B7 2.0T, a 2006 to be exact and I am lucky to get 23 MPG city without shifting at 2k and barely touching the gas pedal. Granted I drive a tiptronic and only use the D mode unless im bored. It shifts for me at 2k anyways. But the MPG for a Tip and 6spd are only 1 MPG apart.

Now your making me wonder

I run 93 99% of the time from Shell (V-Power)
I just got it serviced for it's 35k service
Cleaned out the air filter myself 2 weeks ago

Only getting 290-300 a tank

If I drive like the crazy 17 year old I am, I get 260 a tank.

No CEL ever

But I did buy it used, carfax was clean :/

anyone else find it a little odd that audi claims 24 mpg combined for the quattro 2.0T, but only 23 mpg combined for the frontrak 2.0T? [&:]
