so i am in the process of buyin an 02 a4 quattro w/sport package and 5 speed and wanted to know what i can expect from the car. I for one think it is a great vehicle and although it has 125xxx miles it runs and rides perfectly. it shifts well in all gears and has a fair amount of power. I guess it takes about 7-8 sec to hit 60 mph. i have a 5 sec 0-60 car already so i am looking for comfort and good gas mileage, at least 25-30 mpg, not the 12-14 i get in my current auto.

what type of mileage can i expect from the 1.8 t engine, 200xxx 250xxx ????

it is a one owner car and looks to only have carried one person, the back seat looks as though it never was sat in, and the trunk is cleaner than a whistle!

it has all the goodies and they all actually work, even the sunroof and xenon lights.

any advice for a new audi guy?

congrats.. but youre gunna need a chip to get a 7-8 second 0-60 time. I think stock 1.8t 0-60 is more like 9 seconds? Unless its chipped already? have fun with it and if well taken care of it should go 200k+ miles pretty easily.. Not a Honda though, keep that in mind.

 

Yeah, have fun with your audi. I am hopefullly getting one soon too. I am going to look at one in a couple of days or so. my bro has an '02 (no sport package, but still a 5 speed), and its very nice. I think he gets like maybe...18-20/26-29ish.

But keep in mind, the car takes premium.

 

I am getting it for 10.5k plus ttl, hey i already buy nothing less than 93 premium at 12 mpg so this will be cheap!

 

First thing you should do is chip that baby if it isn't already chipped.
