Hey guys. I made a post on the new members section but thought I could post here because I had just made a purchase of a 1999 A4.

I have had the car for a few days and I am in the process of registering it for the road however, I cannot get the emmissions to pass because the check engine light does not operate whatsoever. I remember the previous owner saying he upgraded the dash cluster to a 2001 style and I am not sure if this is a feasable mod because it is digital.

Is there a possibility where the bulb in the back of the CEL has burned out or is there even a bulb there? And should I attempt to remove the cluster or is that something I should leave to a tech? Toyota is my bread and butter but if I should break something in the audi then that will result in a hurt wallet.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
