Tiptronic is a type of discrete automatic transmission developed by Porsche and used in its vehicles and those of its licensees. A Tiptronic transmission can operate just as the common type of automatic transmission, but it also allows the driver to override the automatic mode by moving the shift lever into a second (Tiptronic) shift gate and permits, for example, downshifting to increase the braking effect of the engine.
Though Tiptronic transmissions allow the driver a certain measure of discrete control, the Tiptronic design is implemented using a torque converter like other automatic transmissions. A Tiptronic is not a computer controlled clutch-manual transmission or semi-automatic transmission.
Most luxury vehicles with a Tiptronic transmission have two fully-automatic modes: One, identified as "Comfort" or similar, and another, usually called "Sport," which delays upshifts for a sportier driving style at the expense of fuel, wear, comfort, and noise. Shift quality has been improved due to better electronic controls; these electronics modify the shift points to adapt to a given operator's driving style. Some exotic marques such as Aston Martin and Ferrari offer paddle-shifters behind the steering wheel for controlling their similar transmissions.

Yeah stock tiptronic sucks though... I drove it, and it made me sort of sick... to and I already knew that porsche was responsible for developing it... that made me sick too... just a gross driving experience... the tip chip probably makes a world of difference though, so do that asap... I think it takes your shifts from a disgusting .8 seconds to .2 seconds or something... regardless it is worth the money. But they are still slow... and yeah, as far as mods go... I would chip it, and maybe add exhaust... I wouldn't do anything else for power though. Lowering it would be good... as you don't have sport suspension (confirmed by your 4 spoke steering wheel)... snag some coilovers or a good spring/shock combo. Nice looking car though, but at the risk of being terribly redundant... lose the damned stripe!

Is there a website that i can see the stats for this car? Like how much HP do i have? I also been reading other threads, what is whp? Since im new to Audi and cars in general, what are some typical terminlogy?
And what if i went with a new turbo with my chip?
Is my car worth modding for power or just visualy?

150 hp 5800
162 lb-ft 2200
I am not sure what "whp" means.
Concerning mods... u got a 1.8T so performance mod is def. possibility. If you are willing to spend, you can do so much.
imo, visual mods just make your ride stand out more and probably attract more cop.
btw.. if you swap your turbo, you will need the ecu that is compatible with your new turbo. As far as I know, reprogrammed stock ECU doesn't work with bigger turbos.
