Hiya Guys

I am thinking of buying a 1997 A4 1.8T which has done 100K Miles. I currently have a 1997 1.8 which has done 138k Miles and still drives great, but what are the turbo models like, are they are reliable as naturally aspirated models with that kind of mileage??
I have been told by a mate that on some cars the turbo will start to blow after it has covered a 100k miles, is this the case with the A4 1.8t or is it just the heavily tuned japs that suffer from blowing turbo's?

What should i be looking out for, i know my A4 1.8 pretty well as i have had a couple now but never the turbo, any tel tel signs to avoid with the turbo models?
