Default New Clutch...

Car: 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro

I'm ready to get rid of the stock clutch, and get something that bites a bit stronger... So what clutches would you guys recommend? I'm looking for a clutch that bites much harder than stock, but is still able to be driven comfortable daily. Something comprable to an ACT 2600 or something of that sort... I'm kind of upset ACT doesn't make a 2600 for the A4, I love that clutch.

Any input is appreciated!

I've heard good things about the SPEC clutches.

I don't think Exedy makes clutches for Audi's or I would defenitly suggest them. I've used them in my 300 hp Honda's.

Hmmm... Think I'll look into a Clutchmasters Flywheel/Clutch package.

I also use Exedy with my Hondas, for the price and quality, they cannot be beat. Exedy StageI for my single cam Z6... $250 shipped brand new boyee.

you do not want to get a light weight flywheel all the ones I've seen people have complained about chattering problems

I dunno about the A4's but I had an Exedy Stage 1 and an 8lb flywheel in my 300 hp civic, no problems.

I had a 12#'er IIRC, in my 944 and it DID have a clutch chatter issue. I bothered the hell out of me.

I have a 12V now and a stocker is all it will be getting when it needs it.
