How many mi should i put on my new engine before i can start to drive it hard. I was thinking 500 to 750mi. What do you guys think.

it is best to break your engine depending on how u plan to drive i would say bring it up five hundred rpms every two hundred miles

All my friends that have gotten new cars always did 750-1000mi and never went above 4000-4500rpms.

fried the old one, the mechanic said it melted together... haha

drive under 1/2 the rpms for the first 1000k miles, it makes the engines bullet proof, WELL ALMOST, but better
