New Member-Bought my first car today!
If your clutch is making noise when it is being disengaged then it is the throw out bearing. If it is making noise when it is being engaged then it is the pilot bearing.
Pressing the clutch is disengaging and letting out is engaging. In case you didn't know. Lol Could be something else though.

What kind of sound is comming from the clutch? Drive around 30 or 40 shift fast and then through it into fifth. If your engine revs and your car is not moving much faster your clutch is slipping. If your engine bogs down a lot then your clutch is fine. Thats what i was told to do atleast.
Also does it not do it in second gear, just first?

bad syncro maybe?
bad syncro maybe?
Is it possible that something like low/ improperly bled liquid system is causing this? I believe this is a hydraulic clutch, no?

The engine actually bogs when it's in too high of a gear at low speeds. This seems to only happen in first when I am starting from a standstill.

that is why we have 1st gear, 2345 arent low enough to move the car, if your doing this you can burn the clutch and kill you engine, learn how to drive stick
