Ouch. What exactly happened to it? I know about the first run over heat, was it a head gasket?

 

rebuilt second hand engine will take more power than a new unit.

That's a crazy amount to spend but if you want to best of luck sounds like you need some.

 

Doose dude, my car is sooo messed up. It all happend the 1st run. When it overheated it fried everything, and i mean everything head gasket and all. These guys are actually cool at this dealer, surprisingly pretty performance cool. I was thinking about it tho i have put around 20k in this car that incudes the cost of the car and i could have had a nice s4 for that and still been in that performance range. oh well.

 

good luck to u audiboy1618 and aaronamericahall if u want to dump a S4 engine in a A4 might as well save sometime and headache and sell the A4 and buy a S4

Na, i love this car. Theres nothin else id rather have except an s4. Dave this is all from my first run with the new turbo, coolant hose flew off and fried the motor.

 

Snap! coolant hose flew off or you forgot to tighten it? and i caNT BELIEVE you couldnt smell antifreeze ussually when cars overheat the smell is super strong

 

How did you not notice the coolant warning light?
