Default New pics + Question

Hey everyone,

Got my windows tinted the other day. 20% all around, and I love it. I makes it look really dark with the black on black...

My question is this: I would like to replace my license plate lights, because one is burnt out (it has been since i bought the car). It appears that the person who had the car before me tried to get the screw out to repace the bulb, but stripped it. What is the best method for getting that screw out? Should I drill it out? If i drill it out,can I puta new screw back in? I saw a stripped screw set at autozone, should I pick that up and do it? Any suggestions are welcome!

by black on black he meant the interior is black...

black on black from the factory is the paint color and interior color.... black on black on most car forums means black rims on a black car...

just thought i would clear that up

Sorry for the confusion. Black interior, black paint. The black rims are somewhere in the future. And yeah, its the angle, I would never do my windshield, Im smarter than that. I dont drive a honda anymore, give me some credit!

Xenon's going in sometime this week hopefully

By the way, any answers to the question in my original post?? Damn screw.

have you tried a slotted screw driver to get it out ?
maybe just a bigger size screw driver, i cant imagine the head is totally stripped out by a screw driver just trying to get it out

just went to the vdub dealer the other day to pick up those bulbs
only a few bucks

If the head is sticking out, you may be able to get some needle nose vise grips on it.

Otherwise there are a bunch of different screw extracter kits out there that you could try. That will probably be your best bet.

I wouldn't advise drilling it unless you have too. More than likely, you will damage the threads while drilling and then you won't be able to get another screw in there.

Tint looks good BTW, nice car.
