Hey guys. I just realised when coming back from shopping that my boost gauge was telling me funny things. My1st gear spikes at 6psi and stays for the whole rev range, 2nd spikes 7psi and drops to5psi by the time im at 6000rpm and the funniest is third, Hits 7 psi and drops all the way to 2psi by the time im at 6000rpm???? Didnt test 4th and fifth but i know smethings wrong or is this normal in Audis or something??? I dont feel any power drop or anything but my boost gauge is telling me eithewise. Any help please.

 

First off I take it you car is manual and not chipped...first off there is always going to be a pressure drop after about 5500rpm's, if you run your rev's any higher, you should expect a drop, first and second sound fine, third sounds strange, I'm not sure, but I dont think the pressure ever drops that low, but I could be mistaken....sounds like a bad dv, or possibly a small boost leak, at the same time you should try to shift around 5500 or sooner, anything more in a stock car is probably just slowing you down...
