Default NEW TIRES> BRIDGESTONE, PIRELLI, MICHELIN??

So, I just bought my 98 1.8T A4 a few months ago and I need new tires. It came with some dunlops and from what I've heard, they aren't the best. I don't really care about how long they last, so obviously I want performance. What would you guys recommend I buy??? Also, what should my price range be?? Thanks!!

I live in Kansas City, so I only drive in the snow a few times a year. I want to go with more of a year round performance tire... something that handles well and grips in the rain... any help??

I just put Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred on my wifes 98 A4 1.8q. No snow here in San Antonio, but they are fantastic on wet or dry road. I got the 205/60/15 H rated. See their site: http://www.goodyearassurance.com/

My A4 (2000 1.9TDi avant) is equiped with Michelin Energy 195/65R15 Very good Tires, comfortable, low noise and good grip in dry and wet conditions. Not much experience with snow. The tires are on the car for more then 50000 km and worn to 4mm. But now the steering gets more heavy specially on highways it is difficult to keep the car straight on track.

I just bought Potenza S-O3 pole posisions 225/50/16 Yes, stock rim, but the wet traction is just silly, rated zero on snow though. kinda pricy though, if you don't have conections. also the fusion zr1 sold at firestone store are pretty good also, not quite the same performance but I was impressed. Its about half the price of the s-03

Back when they where one of the only high performance tires on the market, I probably would have suggested them but now, there are many more choises.
