Actually,turbos dont have a break in. Once oil has been full circulated your fine to drive it harder.
Yea BB turbos like ours, however the k03/k04 isn't.

i had to break mine in, i just unpluged the wires to the coil packs and tried to start my engine a few times

I did the ecu and crnaked it over cause i just got my ecu back when i installed everything.

There is no actual reccomended break in for the turbo, dealerships will sometimes say there is but it wouldn't hurt to take it easy for a little while.

but u can cook the internals of the turbo if u dont let the oil go throught it, but once u start it it dosent matter any more and u just hope that u dont cook it

That would really suck if the brand new turbo was toast but i kinda doubt it would be that bad as long as he didnt like start it and like floor it right away.... the oil should get there pretty quickly i would think
