is neuspeed more like apr then? i've read in this forum that giac "kicks you harder in the pants", but apr is smoother.

 

Why a part together kit? to save 200 or 300? 300 more from awe thats proven is nothing compared to having problems later on with some **** parts you find on ebay or another forum.

I could understand not parting together the stage 3+ apr kit .. that s a little bit more extensive..

but a k04 kit?

turbo,plugs,install kit,fpr,software.... not very hard to install either... no new manifold... no new exhaust ... no dump pipe... stock location

if you are going to buy a kit for 1800 .. just do a eliminator from ATP... sure their software sucks.. but you can go w/ unitronic software I belive and get good results....

a k04 isnt rocket science... its barely a box full of parts....

if you can save 300$ why not? Alot of what you are paying for with the AWE kit is convienince.. like when you buy pop/chips at the gas station they cost more.....

 

exactly $1800 is a lot of cash when you are going to want more power in a month buy used then sell used when you want to go bigger like I said www.audizine.com or www.audiworld.com you can piece togeather a K04 kit for dirt cheap

Hey clconversion...what kind of numbers does GIAC claim for the J31 and how much different is it than the pc-16? I can't find any info on the GIAC site. Thanks.

 

i think with the j31 file it is 250hp the j31 is only for the 2000's as the pc-16 is for the 99 and down and is pretty close in #'s the J31 is a little more aggressive

pc-16 file is for the 99.5 and below...it runs higher timing advance and lower boost, 19 psi, not sure on the timing. whereas the j31 ( if im correct ) is more boost and less timing advance....24lbs. thus the difference.

 

GO BIG TURBO! dont waste ur time on something that cost pretty much teh same with half the power. i had one for only 3k miles and got bored and went BT. that turbo is such a waste. for 800 u could get a gt28r or a big *** t3/t4
