Since k03's are just the stock A4 turbos right?,Are the k04's from another Audi model? Who makes them?Where do you guys get them and how much do they generally run? I searched and couldn't find a good answer and the newbie sticky link doesn't go into too much about them...

If you are thinking of going K04, check out this site: www.Gpopshop.com
They take old K03's and remake them into brand new K04-015 turbos. The K03 and K04 use the same turbo housing just different internals. I have one in my car and have not had any problems with it. Plus they are only $625!

I wouldn't get the k04 if your planning on getting big hp, the k04 is a k03 with a bigger compressor. i would save up for a gtrs elim. kit and supporting mods, definitely worth it.

if you get a k04 and basic programming, you'll only see a hp gain of like 30ish over a chipped setup. to see any significant gains you have to get aggressive software. which requires FMIC, injectors, exhaust, clutch, etc... those are all the supporting mods. and those are the same supporting mods for a GTRS..
so really, the difference between a goodk04 setup and aGTRS setup is around $1000 at most.
and you'll be able to acheive 100+ more hp
